Over 300 lawsuits have been filed against Travis Scott as a result of the events that took place at his Astroworld Festival in Houston last month. More than 300 people were hurt, and 10 people died.

In order to defend himself against these countless claims, Travis will undoubtedly have the assistance of an excellent attorney. Now, he has enlisted the services of a well-known attorney who has previously represented controversial personalities.

To deal with these litigation, Travis has reportedly hired Daniel Petrocelli. Donald Trump worked with Petrocelli in 2016 as well. When it came to Trump University, Petrocelli was on Trump’s side.

Additionally, O’Melveny & Myers LLP’s Steve Brody and Sabrina Strong will be providing legal assistance to Travis.

In 1997, after he won a $8.5 million wrongful death civil action against O. J. Simpson, Petrocelli became a household figure. When OJ and Nicole Brown Simpson were accused of murdering Ronald Goldman in 1994, Petrocelli was defending the father of the alleged victim.

Even Scarlett Johansson was represented by Petrocelli. After claiming that she was underpaid for her performance in the film “Black Widow,” she made this statement.

They have filed lawsuits against Live Nation as one of the other organizers of the Astroworld Festival. Neal Manne, a lawyer, has also been hired by the company. At Susman Godfrey, an exclusive boutique legal practice, Manne is believed to be a managing partner.

Cases like the Ro Piedras, Puerto Rico, explosion of 1996 have employed Manne. 33 individuals were killed and many more were injured as a consequence of the catastrophe.

Travis is up against a lawsuit demanding $2 billion in damages, which is one of the most famous. Attorney Thomas Henry is representing 280 plaintiffs in this lawsuit. According to the lawsuit, when Travis took the stage to perform, he incited the crowd “into a frenzy.”

Because of this, the defendants opted to cut shortcuts, save expenses, and put festival-goers at danger,” the suit reads.

Edwin F. McPherson, the rapper’s lawyer, argued that the rapper isn’t responsible for what transpired on November 5. According to him, a lot of individuals have changed their accounts about what Travis was claimed to have done to cause the injuries and fatalities of the 50,000 concertgoers who attended the show.

A lot of the finger-pointing has come from local officials who have issued mixed messages and have gone back on their earlier claims.

Houston Police Chief Troy Finner was quoted in the New York Times as saying, ‘You cannot just close when you got 50,000 and over 50,000 individuals. There’s always the risk of unrest with a crowd that young. However, just a few minutes later, Chief Finner reveals that Travis is responsible for stopping the show.”
