If you’re going to make many appearances on different news stations in the United States, all on the same topic, it’s probably vital that you retain some consistency in your views on the issue.
When one Republican made contradictory statements on vaccines on Fox News and CNN, it was unfortunate that they didn’t consider the implications of their actions.
What does @NancyMace think about vaccines? Depends on who she is speaking to. pic.twitter.com/sOrSTaGdNk

“According to certain studies that I’ve read, natural immunity provides you 27 times more protection against future Covid infection than a vaccine,” claimed South Carolina lawmaker Nancy Mace on the controversial news network – which is Fox, by the way – on Sunday morning.
“As a result, we must take into consideration all of the science, rather than selectively picking which science to follow,” she said.
In other words, Ms Mace, who does not have the name “mistake,” is on the anti-vaxx side when it comes to whether you should have a life-saving vaccination or if you should expose yourself to a deadly virus in order to develop “natural immunity.”
However, if you just followed CNN, you’d be excused for assuming that the politician had a whole different point of view on vaccinations.
She made the following statement after the broadcaster showed a video of her being vaccinated: “I have always advocated for vaccines and the use of protective equipment wherever possible…” Because the delta variation was raging in South Carolina at the time, I published an opinion piece for my local newspaper.
“I’ve worked with our state department of health, and I’ve aired advertisements pushing people in my area to be vaccinated, and to take every precaution – from washing your hands to wearing your N95 or K95 mask more than the medical masks – when we have these varieties and these surges.”
“When individuals wear such masks, there is a statistically significant proportion of people who are protected against Covid,” she said.

When you compare the two videos side by side – as we were able to do thanks to a video created by a Twitter user – you can see why Ms Mace was appointed to the oversight committee.
Others on the social networking site made fun of the Republican’s blunders, including the following:

In a decent world, this one short video would result in the complete decimation of her political career.

She could’ve at least changed her shirt to make it look like it was two different days or something.

Nancy Mace’s theme song is “Both Sides, Now”.

It’s even better when you consider she is wearing the same dress on both TV hits.
