Kamala Harris wants you to know that she has a lot of fond childhood memories of celebrating Kwanzaa with her family.

Here’s what she said in a recent tweet: “Our Kwanzaa celebrations are some of my favorite childhood memories. As families across the United States light the red, black, and green candles of the Kinara this week, our family sends our wishes and blessings for a happy and healthy new year.”

What is Kwanzaa?

Kwanzaa celebrates harvest festival traditions from various parts of Africa.

The holiday takes place over seven nights. Similar to Hanukkah, candles are lit every night of Kwanzaa. Each night represents a different principle, outlined below.

1. Unity
2. Self-determination
3. Collective work and responsibility
4. Cooperative economics
5. Purpose
6. Creativity
7. Faith

Kwanza is not an old holiday. It originated in 1966 in Los Angeles, California. The holiday wasn’t widely known about or celebrated until the mid-90s. Maulana Karenga created Kwanzaa during the aftermath of the Watts riots as a specifically African-American holiday. He believed Jesus was psychotic and Christianity was a “White” religion that Black people should shun, according to Wikipedia.

Before the 90s, there were only small celebrations peppered throughout the United States.

Harris spent her younger years in California, but she was far away from LA, living in Berkeley before she moved to Montreal, Canada when she was just 12-years-old.

The few pics you can find of Kamala celebrating the holidays when she was younger show a little girl who is celebrating Christmas.

Personally, I don’t believe that Kamala Harris ever celebrated Kwanza when she was a little girl, and most people would probably agree with me.

And speaking of holiday pictures, one savvy Trump supporter noticed something interesting about Kamala and her Kwanzaa memories.

Kamala has shared her Christmas photos, but she’s never shared her Kwanzaa photos… why is that, I wonder?

Here are some comments from folks online:

“Yes, I’m sure that Kamala and her family all sat around the piano singing Tupac songs for Kwanzaa”

“Fwwwweeeeedom!”

“Don’t worry, the presidential photoshop team is on it. Give them a sec.”

“Because it’s a lie. I know, I know; shocked”

“Everything about this administration is a lie and phony”

“When everything is a lie, nothing is a lie.”

“If those pictures actually existed, she would have them plastered everywhere. They don’t, because Kamala is a shameless, lying phony”

“As with all things in Alice’s Wonderland Kamala Harris’ childhood photos of her celebrating Kwanzaa are fictional”

“We will get to see them in her Presidential Library LOL”

It’s not surprising that people feel this way, especially after all her other lies and phony stuff she spews.

There is nothing “genuine” about this woman, and that’s one reason she is just so unlikeable and her polls are so bad.

She comes off as a greasy, fake politician, who will do and say just about anything if it’ll boost her career.
